A boy who I've been liking for a long time just asked me to go out with him!

I'm really excited because I've liked him a long time. The only problem is, my friend likes him too. She told me to say no, but I don't want to!

You'll probably say to just go with the friend and forget the boy, but the boy is also one of my close friends! If you have any suggestions you can message me!
